SHOW NOTES

  • (00:00) Welcome & Intro

  • (02:15) Summer fun isn’t always easy on the body.

    • Around this time of year, I usually eat more carbs, fast less, and feel a few pounds heavier. Year after year, I repeat this pattern!

  • (04:30) Do I just suck at discipline?

  • (08:45) It's natural to have higher carb intake in the summer and higher fat intake in the winter, because of the foods that are naturally available. Carb cycling just makes sense.

  • (10:00) Convenience + excess + artificial ingredients= no bueno for our health.

    • Our modern food culture is in perpetual "summer" mode- with constant availability of all fruit (even when not in season) AND processed carbs at our fingertips at all times.

  • (12:45) Even when I'm eating more carbs, I still stick with my Heck Yeah Carbs (see podcast episode 13 here).

  • (15:10) Outro & Disclaimer

Thanks for listening! Have a healthy and blessed week!

XOXO,

Chelsea
