193: Metabolic Water

This week’s episode is about something that nobody really talks about in the conventional OR functional health world, is relatively new in the scientific world and is probably YEARS away from being part of the conversation in the mainstream health world. But once you know and understand the impact of the concept, you can’t ignore it as one of the biggest missing pieces of the health puzzle.

God made our bodies with a special kind of water inside the cell that acts like a powerful battery. The better you make and take care of this water - the less you’re going to get sick, the better you’re going to maintain optimal weight and the more energy you’re going to have to go about your day. People who struggle with low energy and overeating could benefit enormously by understanding and taking advantage of the battery-like power of our metabolic water.

Listen in to hear about - what may be cutting edge science - but is one of the most profound ways God made our body to maintain order and health.

(0:00) Intro

  • Hello my friend, welcome back to the club, how are you today?

  • We are going to talk about something that nobody really talks about either in the conventional OR functional health world, is a relatively new kid on the block in the scientific world, is probably YEARS away from being part of the conversation in the mainstream health world, but Carly and I are teaching it to our Christian Health Practitioners in The School of Christian Health and Nutrition because once you know and understand the impact of this concept you can’t ignore it as one of the biggest missing pieces of the health puzzle. And it fits so beautifully and profoundly and squarely into our Genesis Prescription and confirms yet again how incredibly God made our bodies and how He made them work in relation to Creation. He keeps guiding me and making connections for me that blow me away, humble me to my core but most of all give me confirmation that this is what I’m supposed to be doing, to keep going. I want to introduce this concept to you today even though it’s  - like I said - really obscure in even the holistic health world - it’s pretty nerdy and we get pretty nerdy in our CHP training about it -  but I’m going to try to keep it interesting and practical and connect some dots for you. But the biggest reason really i want to share it with you is to glorify God - to have you sit in awe with me about the way He made our bodies to work in relation to Creation and how He is showing up in this process and unfolding this journey for me in this thing He has called me to do  - creating this school and this program with Carly.

  • Episode 141: It All Comes Down to Your Mitochondria

  • Episode 173: The Electron Diet

  • A few weeks ago Carly and  I did a podcast about The Right Way to Hydrate. That was all about the water that we drink.

  • Metabolic water is about the water that we MAKE through the process of metabolism.

(6:05) Metabolism

  • Let’s just start with the idea, the concept of metabolism. We throw that word around alot.

  • Metabolism is happening ALL over the body. The entire point of metabolism is to make energy.

    • It is the process that makes energy for our cells to work - and that means our cells from head to toe -  For your heart cells, your brain cells, your intestinal cells, your muscles cells, your eye cells….all the cells  -  the 30 trillion cells in your body need energy to make them work just like your car needs gas to make it go. If your liver or your kidneys or your heart doesn’t have energy to make it work - that’s going to be a problem.

(7:20) Mitochondria:

  • We have these little energy making factories inside of our cells called mitochondria.

  • When you think metabolism, you need to think mitochondria  - they make the energy for our cells.

  • The process that we know as metabolism involves the mitochondria turning the food that we eat into energy. This energy is called ATP.

  • Episode 122: The Breath of Health and Fat Loss

    • Co2, the breath we exhale, is how 84% of our metabolic waste leaves the body. In other words - that’s where fat goes when you burn it - it is exhaled through your breath.

    • We breath in oxygen -  O2  and we breathe out carbon dioxide -  CO2. 2 molecules go in,  3 go out.

    • Your exhaled breath is heavier than your  inhaled breath. That is what is carrying the metabolic waste  - your burned fat  - from your body.

  • Equally fascinating is how the other byproduct of metabolism - water - also plays such a key role in how our body makes and uses energy.

  • Whats been discovered is that this water that our mitochondria makes has properties that make it function like a battery inside of our cell. What does a battery do? It gives power.

  • What we’ve learned is, there’s another, an additional source of energy for our cells to use besides ATP.

  • It means food is not our only source of energy - is not meant to BE our only source of energy.

(10:39) Explaining how this works and how you can optimize this metabolic water to your advantage.

  • Our metabolic water has a different molecular structure which gives it a different consistency and different function.

  • Structured water: when water becomes structured inside the cell it gives it the ability to hold energy and be an energy source.

  • EZ Water:

    • Dr. Gerald Pollack who is a professor of bioengineering at the University of Washington is the one who discovered this structured water and how it looks and behaves differently than regular water.

    • He coined the term EZ water because of the way it creates these exclusion zones of electrons and protons which is what makes it like a battery inside the cell.

    • EZ stands for exclusion zone. And it is this battery like water that can power our cells just like the battery in your phone powers your phone to work.

(14:50) Charging your EZ battery:

  • One of the best ways to charge your EZ battery is to get sunlight.

  • The sun plays a huge role in how we create a bigger and better EZ battery. When the sun hits  our skin, infrared light (IR) expands the EZ water battery and UV light generates  electrons in the battery. These electrons create a net negative charge inside the cell and “charge” the EZ water battery.

  • We are like solar panels that can receive and absorb, utilize and redirect this energy for our bodies to use. This water becomes somewhat of a storage tank for electrons - the more electrons you have, the healthier you are.  So the IR light expands the EZ water battery, the UV light fills it up with electrons and that way we are in a net negative charge which means a net positive for health.

  • We pick up electrons from the earth- when we’re grounding, when we have bare feet or hands or any bare part of our body touching the earth or something conductive touching the earth.

  • When you think about it - you can’t even make food without sun, water and the earth. They are the prerequisites and that’s how it unfolds in the Creation story.

(18:30) Our God is good

  • God did not make our healing inaccessible - you can walk outside and get sunshine and ground and charge up your EZ water battery and that is going to profoundly change your health status.

  • It sounds too simple, even too good to be true, but our God is good. He made these bodies in the most incredible way and the scientific discovery of EZ water is another example of how and how He made us work in relation to Creation.

(20:03) Other ways to optimize mitochondrial function:

  • Infrared sauna and light panels.

  • Cold plunging is good because it causes our mitochondria to make its own infrared heat which expands your EZ battery.

  • Exercise/movement is good for your water battery. I want you to think of our ancestors who spent so much time outside in nature being exposed to the sun, picking up electrons from the earth, moving their bodies naturally - they would have had really healthy mitochondria and a nice charged up EZ water battery.

  • Our ancestors were also not exposed to things like wifi, nonnative EMFs and glyphosate which are all things that destroy our EZ water. All the more reason we need to get outside and pick up electrons and charge our EZ battery.

  • We can also consume things that help build our EZ water  - things like:

    • Natural mineral water, spring water, glacial melt water

    • Drinking Holy Basil tea

    • Humic and fulvic acids - where my Cellcore people at? You’re building your EZ and didn’t even know it.

    • Saturated fats- ghee, coconut oil, MCT oil, organic clarified butter

    • Turmeric

    • Probiotics

(23:11) When it comes down to it  - what it is, is water with order.

  • The molecular structure has order to it where as regular water is a little more molecularly willy nilly. And it’s this order that gives it these unique and special properties.

  • The entire focus of The Genesis prescription is on Creation and about the way God established order. Our world is a creation of order, our bodies are a creation of order.

All things should be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33

  • Poor health comes from disorder in the body. When there is disorder, there is disease. It is being out of alignment with the way God made us. A state of ill-health can be looked at as a state of chaos in the body - the absence of God’s order. There is a critical component of His Presence or His Provision missing.

(25:15) The School:

  • If you want to know even more and make more of these connections, there is still a little time left to join The School of Christian Health and Nutrition. Whether you want to become a CHP who actually works with people or if you just want to learn, to spend the next 9 months in personal growth immersing yourself in health, in the Bible and growing in spirit mind and body. You can find more information about it here.

  • I’m not sure when we will run the program again - could be another year from now - so if you have that little spark in your heart and the thought of missing out makes you kind of sad - don’t miss out come join us.
