197: The Benefits of a Full Body Ultrasound with Todd Turner, RVT
I recently had an extensive body ultrasound after some “hot spots” came back on my thermography scan. It picked up some inflammation in my neck area and I wasn’t sure if it was my carotid artery, thyroid or something else. I had only planned on having the ultrasound scan on my neck but took the advice to have a more extensive look. I’m SO glad I did! He looked at my heart, breasts, kidneys, adrenals, pancreas, spleen, intestines and so much more. Turns out my carotid artery is fine, my thyroid is ok, but there are a few other things he found that I wouldn’t know about had I not done the full body scan. It was a very interesting and eye opening experience and part of what made it so great was my brilliant technician and all of the little tidbits he shared during the 1.5 hour appointment. He’s on the podcast this week to share his knowledge and talk through some of my results. I think you’ll find this fascinating!

Show Notes
(0:00) Intro
Hello my friend, welcome back to the club, how are you today?
Today we’re talking about full body ultrasounds because I just had one after having some hot spots show up on my thermography report.
Every January I have a head, neck and breast thermography scan as a proactive healthcare tool.
Thermography is infrared imaging and it can detect temperature changes and heat in your body which can indicate inflammation.
My breast scan was fine but it picked up some heat in my neck and lower jaw line. So there is concern there for my carotid artery and thyroid. So the next step after you spot something like that would be to get an ultrasound scan.
We reached out to the naturopath who helped me all those years ago with my fertility issue and he recommended this technician that comes to your home and does full body scans and I was like what???
Welcome said technician: Todd Turner to the Christian Health Club podcast!
