235: Daily Routines, Products and Supplements with Carly Stagg, FNP

EPISODE BLOG

Hey there, dear friends! Welcome back to the Club. Today is a bit different as we peel back the curtain and give you an inside look at our daily lives. We've received numerous questions about our daily routines, work structures, health habits, and even the supplements we swear by. Many of these inquiries come from our fantastic Christian Health Practitioners who recently graduated from The School of Christian Health and Nutrition. They're stepping into their roles as CHPs, and they're curious about what happens behind the scenes. Additionally, some of our clients have been eager to learn more about our daily lives. After much contemplation, we decided it's time to share our routines with you.

Why Now?

You might wonder why we're choosing to do this now. Well, there are a few reasons. Firstly, it's a brand-new year, and like many of you, we're reflecting on our daily routines, identifying areas that need improvement, and setting new goals. Secondly, there's an exciting development on the horizon, which Carly is about to share. And lastly, we thought it would be fun to do this episode while Carly and I are in two distinct stages of life: I'm an "old married woman" with kids, while Carly is building her career and navigating the journey to find her prince. So, let's dive in!

Carly's Daily Routine

Early Morning

Carly starts her day around 5:30 am. Her morning ritual includes taking Oakley, her furry friend, out for some fresh air. Next, she devotes 10-20 minutes to her devotional practice on her porch. This sacred time involves grounding, soaking up some sunlight, and connecting with Jesus. She kicks off her day with electrolyte water and coffee, followed by taking her thyroid medication.

Morning Movement

Carly loves incorporating movement into her morning routine. Whether it's a session on the Shaker or some time on the rebounder, she prioritizes physical activity to get her energy flowing. While she gets dressed and ready for her workout, worship music plays in the background.

Health-Conscious Dental Care

Carly ensures her dental care is on point. She brushes her teeth using a Sonicare toothbrush and opts for Wellnesse toothpaste, CocoFloss for flossing, and Lumineux mouthwash and whitening products.

The Workday Begins

Her workday starts with checking and responding to patient messages. During her breaks between clients, she enjoys a peaceful 1-mile walk with Oakley while catching up with Josh on the phone. Carly also maintains her energy levels by eating something small, like cashews or pecans, before her workout.

Afternoon and Evening

In the afternoon, Carly dives into her work, often seeing clients from 2 to 5 or 6. She uses Apollo Neuro during sessions to regulate her nervous system. After a successful day, she unwinds with an evening walk with Oakley.

Nighttime Routine

Dinner is a quick affair for Carly, followed by winding down in the evening. Occasionally, she might do more work (bad Carly, as she humorously puts it). Before bedtime, a relaxing bath or shower is a must. She uses Aleavia body wash and Innersense shampoo, and to remove makeup, she relies on jojoba oil.

Connecting with Loved Ones

Carly takes time to connect with her fiancé, Josh, over the phone before calling it a night around 9:30 to 10. Her night routine involves reading fiction, performing a gua sha stone or self-lymph massage, using Xlear nasal spray, and wearing Breathe right strips if congested. Her daily favorites include VivaRays and her Radiant Life water filter.

Supplements

Carly shares that she's currently taking Cellcore comprehensive Phase 1 supplements, including BC-ATP, TUDCA, KL Support, and CT Minerals, along with the Drainage Activator. Cortisol Manager is another supplement she takes, two capsules at night.

Self-Assessment

Carly acknowledges that she excels in various areas like sleep, supplements, thyroid medication, exercise, grounding, quiet time with Jesus, and regular massages. However, she recognizes the need to be more mindful and intentional about mealtimes and establishing work boundaries.

Chelsea's Daily Routine

Early Morning

I begin my day between 5 and 5:30 am. My morning ritual includes starting the day with sole water and a cup of Ruta Maya coffee. Lately, I've been experimenting with Lifeboost coffee and accompany it with either aroy-d coconut milk or Laird's creamer. My morning also incorporates Viva Rays and time spent on my grounding mat.

Spiritual Nourishment

I dedicate time to my spiritual nourishment with Bible time, scripture writing, and SOTC (Sip of the Cup). Following this, I engage in work and check emails if there's time.

Family Mornings

Between 6 and 7:30, it's all about family time. I prepare breakfast and lunches for everyone, and we gather together in the kitchen for some quality moments. I also step outside to soak in the morning sunlight and grounding time.

Mid-Morning Work

From 8 am onward, I dive into meetings, attend to clients, write, and record. I make sure to take breaks to shake things up, handle laundry, cook, and catch quick sun breaks when I can.

Lunch and Midday Light

Lunchtime typically rolls around 1 pm, and I use this opportunity to step outside again for some midday light exposure. When the weather is nice, I treat myself to a 20-minute UVB sunbreak.

Afternoon

My afternoons are filled with my kids' extracurricular activities, more work, and house chores.

Early Evening

As the evening approaches, I transition into cooking and having dinner, usually sometime between 5:30 and 7. I also take my supplements, including a binder, and continue working.

Nighttime Routine

Around 8:30 to 9, it's shower time. I use Calamity Jane Farm soap, BC face wash, a vibrating sonic face brush, and Beautycounter or Countermatch moisturizer. I'm still using my trusty but not-so-toxic Olaplex for my hair, but I'm on the lookout for healthier alternatives. I then slip into bed, either to read (often historical fiction) or listen to an audiobook. I take Evening Primrose Oil, magnesium orally and topically, and sometimes Perfect Aminos before drifting off to sleep by 10.

Areas for Improvement

I recognize that I do well with walking, maintaining a regular sleep schedule, and getting outside to soak in the sun. However, I'm aware of areas I need to improve, such as better calendaring, meal planning, avoiding eating while on the computer, setting boundaries for work, and reducing my time on social media.

Supplements

As for supplements, I regularly take magnesium, Evening Primrose Oil, CT minerals, and a binder. Recently, I've reintroduced Cod Liver Oil and liver supplements based on lab tests with Morley. Occasionally, I incorporate BC ATP, Perfect Aminos, TUDCA, and Dissolve-It-All.

Conclusion

There you have it, an intimate glimpse into our daily routines and health habits. We hope that by sharing our routines, we've inspired you to reflect on your own daily life and consider positive changes. We value our Club community and want to continue supporting each other on the journey to holistic well-being. Until next time, stay blessed and healthy!
