86: Drainage Before Detox
You’re probably familiar with the concept of Detoxification but are you familiar with the concept of Drainage? Detox is what’s going on in the body to grab and process the toxins and drainage is what takes them out of the body. If the drainage pathways aren’t open and the toxins can’t get out, then they will recirculate, become more toxic and make you more sick.
Drainage MUST come before any detoxification protocol.
In this week’s podcast we’re talking about the drainage pathways, how to optimize their “flow,” what symptoms may indicate yours are “clogged” and the current protocol I am using with clients to get the drainage pathways open.
EPISODE 86: Drainage Before Detox
SHOW NOTES
(0:00) Intro
Welcome back to the club!
Today we are talking about the importance of drainage before detox.
But first! Side bar for the ‘Juice World’ story…
(6:40) Intro to drainage and detox.
The Liver Bucket - be sure to listen to that so you can really understand the potential of the way we overload our livers on a daily basis and how you can actively lessen that load.
There are certain foods and herbal compounds that not only promote detoxification but also go in and grab toxins to be taken out of the body
You can specifically target pathogens like bad bacteria or parasites, viruses, mold toxins - all kinds of things that may be circulating and causing systemic inflammation or illness.
Something I am going to be bringing to my Christian Health Club members, going into this more deeply, showing them how to incorporate protocols and helping them through it.
I’m loving this line from Cellcore Biosciences because it’s so streamlined and comprehensive and addresses all the things a good gut and detoxification protocol should.
If you are not already in The Christian Health Club and want to be, you must first go through a round of Feast 2 Fast - because the foundation of everything is food, so we all need to be on the same page there and then we can layer on some of these more proactive, aggressive protocols.
(10:42) You can’t detox without drainage:
Detox is what’s going on in the body to grab and process the toxins and drainage is what gets it out of the body. If those drainage pathways aren’t open and the toxins can’t get out, then they will recirculate and make you even sicker.
Let all things be done decently and in order. - 1 Corinthians 14:40
There is an order that must be respected here and the first order of business is drainage:
Supporting our body’s ability to move things out of the body.
The Drainage Funnel
The layers of the drainage funnel from the bottom up are the colon, the liver/bile duct layer which also encompasses the kidney, lungs and skin, above that is the lymphatic system, above that is organs and tissues and at the very top are the cells.
At any point that those drainage pathways are compromised, the health of the body will be compromised. Drains got to drain, that’s their job.
(13:02) The Colon:
If your colon is backed up, everything upstream from it can become backed up as well. We’ve got to poop y’all.
We need goldilocks poops - nice, well-formed poops about 1-3 times a day. This is a must before doing any kind of detox.
Make sure you are hydrated, eating vegetables for fiber, chewing your food well and sitting down when you eat so that your body can better digest your food.
(15:42) Liver and Bile Ducts:
Your liver processes toxins and releases them into your bile or blood.
Toxins moved into your blood are filtered through your kidneys and eliminated in your urine.
Think of your bile as a river of toxins, that river needs to be flowing, moving the toxins along and out of the body.
The bile must be flowing and the bile ducts open.
Reasons bile ducts can become inflamed, damaged, narrowed or blocked:
Virus infections, parasites and bacteria can invade your bile ducts and lead to inflammation and blockage.
Toxins like Glyphosate and other chemicals can reduce bile production and flow. Drugs like antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and antidepressants — can disrupt bile flow.
Excess estrogen: such as from birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy — may increase your risk of gallstones. And those can lead to bile duct blockages.
Make sure you are including healthy fats in your diet which help make bile and keep it moving.
(22:01) Lymphatic System:
Your lymphatic system is like the highway system for the trash trucks that carry waste from your tissues and deliver them to be processed by the kidneys and liver and dumped out of your system through peeing and pooping.
Your lymph nodes filter out things like viruses, bacteria and toxins, collect the fluid and return it to your blood for further processing.
Poor lymphatic movement results in toxicity and tissue swelling. Sluggish lymph is linked to increased cellulite if the lymph gets stuck in the fat tissue.
Ways to improve lymphatic flow:
Exercise is one of the key ways to help keep your lymphatic system flowing and doing its job. Jumping is especially good - a trampoline, rebounder or jump rope can really stimulate movement in the lymph.
You can also use a vibration plate - aka “The Shaker” - to get things moving.
Massage and Dry Brushing help stimulate lymph flow.
Infrared saunas can help “warm up” your lymphatic fluid. (Joov)
Herbs like burdock root and astragulus.
(25:47) Organs and Tissues:
The organ of focus here is your brain. It has its own lymph-type system called the glymphatic system which clears cellular wastes and fluids.
The glymphatic system helps prevent a build-up of amyloid-beta proteins which is associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
This activity of brain cleansing mostly happens while you are sleeping. During the day, your brain is busy processing information, so garbage collection is a low priority. But at night, your brain detox system comes alive and that is why it is so critical to make sleep a priority.
(28:06) Cells:
Your cells are at the very top of the drainage funnel. It’s important that everything below is working so that waste and toxins don’t accumulate in your cells. If they do, it can cause mitochondrial dysfunction.
You need good mitochondrial function to supply energy for drainage and detox. The cells in your liver, your kidney, your brain and your colon all need good mitochondrial function to power the drainage process.
You have to lay the right groundwork to start detoxing and healing at the cellular level.
When you have constipation, a clogged liver, a sluggish lymph or glymph or compromised mitochondria, you can’t detox well.
(30:40) Potential symptoms of drainage dysfunction:
Constipation, feel full while eating and after meals, diminished appetite, feel like bowels do not completely evacuate, general or chronic fatigue, mood problems, anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder, poor brain processing power and poor cognition, chronic inflammation, waking up between 1-4 am, edema or swelling, skin problems like rashes, itches, hives, eczema, or acne, yellowish skin, suppressed immune system, can’t clear infections despite pathogen protocols, soreness or swollen breast tissue, heart palpitations or irregular heartbeat, light/sound/EMF sensitivities, morning stiffness, brain fog, swollen glands, cellulite or flabby skin, varicose or spider veins, kidney problems, breathing or lung issues, skin doesn’t sweat, and retain extra fluids.
If any of those resonate with you, you, my friend may have a cloggy drain.
(33:04) Cellcore Protocol:
Before we start mobilizing these pathogens and chemicals and toxins we better make sure they can be taken out of the body efficiently.
Phase 1 of the Cellcore protocol which includes 4 supplements:
Bowel Mover to obviously help move the bowels
Tudca for liver and bile duct drainage.
BioToxin Binder - to help systemically bind up toxins from mold, parasites, bacteria, viruses for more efficient removal.
CT Minerals - Carbon Technology Minerals which is full of 69 naturally occurring, plant-derived trace element minerals and twelve amino acids. This is going to seep into your cells to help your mitochondria work better.
Don’t forget to join my Sunday Sendout list to be the first to get all the info and codes!
Code: CAYDJR57
But the point of all this y’all is really just to make you aware of all of this as far as please do not do any kind of hard core detox without your drainage pathways open.
Drain out the bad energy!
