121: The Meat God Said to Eat
God made ruminant animals like cattle, goats, sheep, deer and elk with special digestive systems that break down and detoxify plant matter into vitamins, minerals, amino and fatty acids made available to us through their meat. We reap the benefit of plant nutrition by way of the animal as the intermediary. It is the beautiful and efficient design of our Creator. The Maker of our bodies made the perfect food for our bodies. God is the Master Nutritionist and there’s no better dietary advice to follow than His!
Listen into this week’s podcast to hear more about the meat God said to eat and how much animal-based protein we should be targeting each day.

120: Results of My Carnivorish Diet Experiment
I can vouch for the common side benefit of reduced (to nil) sugar cravings on a Carnivore Diet. I have never in my life thought about sweets LESS than I did when I was doing this. Even though I did the less restrictive Carnivorish version that includes fruit, honey and dates, I didn’t abuse those allowances and ate them more for the sake of variety than for the sweet taste. It’s like all the meat switched off the craving center of my brain!
In this week’s podcast I’m talking about this and the other results of my 6 week Carnivorish experiment including what my blood test showed, how the scale shifted and what I would have done differently from the start.

119: Seasonal Plant Cycling
Biblical people weren’t eating ginormous salads or plates of broccoli.
In fact, you don’t see a lot of vegetable eating in the Bible at all because that’s not necessarily what was available to them. They were limited to plant foods that were native and seasonal to their region, things like leeks, onion, garlic, fruit, herbs and spices.
In a time when we have access to all plant foods all the time, we’ve lost touch with the idea of seasonal eating and limited food variety. Do we really need tons of different plant species to stay healthy? Or is it better to get less variety but more seasonality when it comes to our plant foods?
Tune into this week’s podcast as we talk about how our bodies are designed to work in sync with the cyclical offerings of nature.

118: Solar Syncing for Metabolism and Good Health
Genesis 1:4 tells us that God created the sun and the moon as markers of time. We know that He created our bodies to work according to these daily and seasonal cycles of light and darkness which is called our circadian rhythm. That includes things like getting regular sun exposure, eating more carbs in the summer and fasting longer in the winter.
We are in our best health when aligned in our circadian rhythm and the sunlight is the biggest contributor to this balance. Listen to this week’s podcast to learn all about solar syncing and how God made our bodies to use sunshine as a healing therapy.

117: The BioElectrical Benefits of Earthing
In this week’s podcast we’re talking about how our bodies can pick up electrical energy from the earth’s surface which helps to lower inflammation, improve sleep, help optimize cortisol rhythm, reduce pain and stress and speed wound healing. When we don’t have enough electrons to balance out the excessive positive charge in our body, we generate free radicals. An accumulation of free radicals creates oxidative stress which is kind of like the rusting of our bodies on the inside. In addition to chronic illness, this leads to accelerated aging - and nobody likes that!
The Good News is that in addition to a Real Foods diet, we can counteract free radicals when we expose our bare feet to dirt, grass, rocks, sand or any natural earth surface. It’s another way our body works in Relation to Creation. God is both our Mighty Healer and Mighty Provider and has given us this amazing way to care for our holy temples. There is no better medicine than the restorative elements of God’s Creation.

116: The Genesis of a Better Body
This week’s Genesis Prescription goal is to get enough water. You need approximately half of your weight in ounces of water each day. Many of us KNOW we need sufficient water but we don’t put it into practice.
James 1:22 says “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
You’re deceiving yourself when you know you need enough water or you think you’re getting enough water but you’re not. That alone could be the thing throwing your health into a tailspin.
Be a doer this week and drink the water that your body needs.

113: Lessons from Jesus Camp
🌟Susan Heck, our speaker at Jesus Camp, challenged us to grow in our Christian walk. She said the person you are five years from now should intimidate you. That means there was an incredible amount of growth, that in the present, feels kind of scary and impossible.
🌱Growth happens when we DO. Whether it’s in our Christian journey or our health journey, transformation happens when we APPLY what we know. This week’s podcast is all about the appetite and growth that leads to the DOING. Listen in for the powerful takeaways I got from Jesus Camp!
