Detox Lemonade
This recipe is courtesy of my friend and fellow Nutritional Therapist, Leslie Bumpas of Redeeming Wellness. She served it to me when I stayed at her house and I was like - I NEED THAT RECIPE! She and her husband drink a small glass of it regularly in the mornings to give their livers a healthy jumpstart. INGREDIENTS
1 quart pure, filtered water (not distilled)
1 organic lemon, washed and quartered
4 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
1-4 squirts of vanilla stevia, to taste (liquid, not powdered), optional
INSTRUCTIONS
Using a VitaMix or Nutri-Bullet type of blender, add H20, quartered lemon, and EVOO.
Blend on high until completely emulsified.
Pour through strainer into a glass or steel pitcher.
Dispose of the pulp.
Now add the ACV and the stevia to taste. It should be tart, not overly sweet.
Drink 3-4 oz. each morning upon rising, before breakfast or coffee.
Note: You may also add a TBSP of MCT oil or liquid minerals at the end.
