What I Took To Florida: Circadian Tools, Supplements & Sun Products
I just got back from a wonderful week in Florida. I spent the first four days in Panama City Beach on a mom/son trip with my oldest (that was his graduation present last year and we finally made it happen). He wanted to go to the beach and he wanted to swim with dolphins and so that’s what we did and it was incredible.
He flew home and then I made the 6-hour drive to Tampa so I could visit Carly and her new baby twin girls. They were just 5 days old! My auntie heart is so happy!
Finally, I ended up in Kissimmee where I went to speak at Dr. Ben Rall’s clinic on The Genesis Prescription. What a wonderful night. I was humbled by the opportunity and so incredibly blessed by the experience. I got to connect with a CHC member and one of the students in The School. She told me that she had been considering medical school and Dr. Rall told her not to waste her time and to take The Christian Health Practitioner course instead. I mean, wow! What an endorsement! If you haven’t listened to the podcast I did with Dr. Rall - stop what you’re doing and listen immediately. It will blow you away and you’ll understand why I jumped at the chance when he invited me to speak at his clinic.
Packing for a week in Florida and these different occasions was tough. I overpacked - as usual - and didn’t wear half the clothes that I took. But I did make use of all of the supplements and circadian tools that I packed and I thought I would share those with you. I’m always interested in what people deem most important to take. I tried to keep it as bare bones as possible but I feel like traveling is when I need my special helpers more than ever!
First of all, if you don’t use packing cubes to pack, I highly recommend. My brother gave me my first set for Christmas a few years ago and said, trust me, these are a packing gamechanger. And he was right! It helps things fit more efficiently and stay more organized.
One thing that I was super bummed about is that I ordered this EMF radiation blocking blanket to take with me on the trip but it didn’t come in time. Airplanes and hotel rooms are a hotbox of non-native electromagnetic frequencies (nEMFs) which disrupt many biological processes. I think of it like being in a microwave. 😅 I generally feel drained after flying and usually don’t sleep well in hotel rooms and I attribute part of it (a lot of it) to this. If you listened to the podcast I did with Logan Duvall we talked about the way flying drains your melanin stores. Melanin is an important way your body stores sunshine energy in the form of a tan. The stress of nnEMFs, especially when flying, will draw upon these stores to help support your mitochondria which really do suffer from so much nnEMF exposure. Anyway, my plan was to use this blanket while flying and in my hotel room but I didn’t get it in time. Like I said, super bummed about that. But I will be prepared for the next trip!
What I DID bring and use on the plane and in my hotel room was my little red light box and my blue blocker glasses. One of the reasons I love the mini red/infrared light box is that it’s super portable. It can be moved from room to room around your house or even taken on an airplane! I slipped it under my shirt when nobody was looking 👀and put that red and infrared right up against my belly (you can’t see the light when it’s like that so I didn’t look like an alien emitting red light 😆). I know it sounds a little “extra” to do this but it’s a GREAT way to use it if you have one to support the mitochondria. It’s using this “hotbox” to help counteract the “hotbox” of nnEMFs if you will.
As far as supplements go, I tried to keep it limited and choose what I really thought I needed and would be most helpful…my “anchors.” Here’s what I brought:
My go-to magnesium: Jigsaw Mag SRT (Bfree)
Jarrow Formulas evening primrose oil: I take these every day to help support progesterone and keep my hormone headaches at bay!
Quinton Isotonic Ampoules: this is a seawater supplement with sodium, magnesium, potassium and calcium. It is mixed with spring water to a concentration that mimics the water of our extracellular matrix which makes it very bioavailable (usable) by our system. There is also a hypertonic version that has a higher concentration of sodium and magnesium. Neither are near the doses of supplemental electrolytes (I brought those too!). There’s a time and a place for both but these days I’m using either the Quinton Isotonic (it comes in a bottle too which is a little more economical) or sole water on a daily basis instead of electrolytes packets everyday. I do still drink electrolytes and will increase them in the summer, but for now I’ve been using these simpler salt options on a more regular basis.
You can get all the above supplements on Fullscript. (all supplements on Fullscript are 20% off)
Mitochondrial support: Cellcore’s MitoActive (this is their new mitochondrial product…it’s the next step up from BC-ATP - thought it would be extra helpful since the mitochondria take such a hit during travel.)
A binder: Cellcore’s ViRadChem (we’re exposed to so much more badness when we travel: seed oils, pesticides, poor water, etc)
Cellcore’s Bowel mover: because, you know, vacation constipation is real!
You can get the above supplements at Cellcore. (if you are making a new account let me know so I can apply your 10% discount)
Axiom H2 tablets: I missed my hydrogen machine while I was gone but these tablets work great! You can get the Axiom tablets here. (use code TCN to get 10% off)
I also brought my magnesium and lymphatic cream from Rowe Casa. These are such a part of my nightly routine now that I would feel lost without them! (pic below in hotel room with my little red light box)! I use these on my belly each night to support the intestines 💩 and for overall wellness. I often rub the lymphatic cream on my neck, breasts and face too!
☀️ I also love Rowe Casa’s sun products. I hadn’t used tanning oil in years until I came across theirs. Reminds me of the good ‘ol days when I used to lather up with Tropicana or Banana Boat 😆 but this oil is actually good for you! Sometimes I use it as my body lotion/moisturizer. It comes in tinted and original. Love the tinted for a little extra color!
They have a whole array of outdoor products. They even have a swim spray that helps neutralize chlorine!
You can find all of Rowe Casa’s products HERE. (code TCN gets 20% off for new, first-time customers!)
I didn’t use any other kind of sunscreen except for on my face. I still have a huge stockpile of Beautycounter sunscreen that I have for me and my family to use as needed. But there are some good options that you can find in Fullscript like the Badger brand.
Alright friend, that about wraps it up. It was an amazing trip full of blessings and I felt good each day and when I got home (I wrapped up my trip with a 21 hour fast which helped too!).
I hope this gives you some ideas for your next trip! If you’d like more of my favorite recommendations, check out these free guides I made!
