86: Drainage Before Detox
You’re probably familiar with the concept of Detoxification but are you familiar with the concept of Drainage? Detox is what’s going on in the body to grab and process the toxins and drainage is what takes them out of the body. If the drainage pathways aren’t open and the toxins can’t get out, then they will recirculate, become more toxic and make you more sick.
Drainage MUST come before any detoxification protocol.
In this week’s podcast we’re talking about the drainage pathways, how to optimize their “flow,” what symptoms may indicate yours are “clogged” and the current protocol I am using with clients to get the drainage pathways open.

85: 6 Thoughts That Lead to Yo-Yo Dieting
In this week’s podcast I’m explaining the most common thoughts that lead to yo-yo dieting and overeating. Here’s one:
I messed that up so……
That thought leads to a feeling of failure which leads to an action of - might as well eat all the things and start over Monday.
Sound familiar? It makes no rational sense. We’re like - I want to be healthier and I want to lose weight but I ate this one “bad” meal so I’m going to eat my face off for the next 3 days.
Your body can handle a night out with chips, queso and margaritas. What it can’t handle is the chips, queso, margaritas and the 3 days of binging after it. But that’s what we do. It’s why mind work is SO important.
What if you chose to eat the chips, queso and margaritas because you were out with your girlfriends and that’s what you wanted to do? And you did it without judgement on yourself? You choose it on purpose, you enjoy it and that’s that. You move on and you’re not a failure.
It’s alllllll about the way that you’re thinking and it’s why you must “take captive” the thoughts that do not serve you.

In this week’s podcast my client, Pam, is not only sharing how she lost 50 pounds but also how eating differently changed her relationship. Her marriage was struggling because she didn’t feel good and she didn’t feel good in her body. She was moody and lashed out often, she didn’t want to participate in family activities and her frustration with herself carried over into the daily interaction with her husband. Changing her food literally changed her life.

Hormonal fluctuations influence how your body uses carbs, stores fat and handles exercise. You can adapt your diet and exercise routine according to these changes so that you’re working WITH your body and not unknowingly making things harder on yourself.

😊I recently turned 46 - I'm not triggered by that number.
😎I'm not triggered by the number I see on the scale, the size of my clothes, the amount of calories or carbs I eat.
😠I may be a little bit triggered by the ACTUAL and true numbers coming out about the virus.
😩But I was TOTALLY triggered by some numbers that came up in relation to my business.
